it cant be the audio configuration, as i am getting the sound with setuo2 (and the audio configs in 1 and 2 are the same)

Unfortunately, the Keyboard is just am USB Keyboard. It has an USB port and one additional MIDI OUT. - No midi in.... =(

okay. here is my setuo. i want to get it work like sketch "1"- Sketch "2" was a test-setup. As the test was successful, I know that my FB838 is actually working. It's just not playing the midi it receives from the Alesis io|2 ---
I hope my artwork helps a bit... ;)

Okay,

I figured out following:
When the keyboard is connected DIRECTLY to the FB383 its working perfectly.

But as long as I am playing the keyboard into LIVE and the MIDI data should go through the audio interface to the FB383 - its not working.
But: LIVE shows me that MIDI data is going through ...

I just got an Bass synth - a FB838 with MIDI IN - I connected it to my audio interface - Alesis io|2 - (I am using a MacBook with Live 6)

The connections are correct, like midi out to midi in - and the audio interface is receiving midi data from live as well, but it is still not ...
