I recently upgraded to High Sierra (10.13.1) and this seems to be resolved.

system preferences - display - scaled - more space
but the gui becomes to small to be usable for me

Same here on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015). I contacted support about this in january and they are aware of the problem.

I'm also experiencing this on a 2015 retina Macbook Pro with Sierra. Here's what Ableton support has to say : " This issue is a bug that we are aware of, affecting Sierra machines with Retina displays. As of now, there is no known solution, but it is being worked on and hopefully we will see it...

Livecontrol stopped working with Ableton 8.3.4 - tried the latest beta, without success. Everything works fine with 8.3. Anyone with similar problems?

Problem persists. Macbook Pro with OS X 10.7.3, Live 8.2.8, Motu Ultralite with latest drivers.
Live reverts to the built in output after every reboot.

Sadly this problem is still present in 8.2.7. Ableton reverts to default output instead of Motu Ultralite after every reboot.

8.2.5 seems to be ok.

I installed the latest Motu drivers and the problem persists. Older versions of Live (8.2.2 and 8.2.5) automatically use the Ultralite for sound output, but 8.2.6 reverts to the built in output after every reboot.

Same here : Motu Ultralite / MacBook Pro.

Has anyone from Ableton ever said anything about this issue?

I just installed b16 and all presets seem to be working.

So did I. Will the presets still be there if I install b16, or will they be gone again?

The "fixed" Live 8.0b15 doesn't seem to be fixed.
