To further clarify better.

I want beat 1 of each measure to line up with step 1 of Xformer. It does not do that with my 7/4 time sig.

It seems like Xformer assumes your always dealing with 4/4 time. I set my time sig in Live to 7/4, set tempo to 180 Load audio clip Load Xformer hit play, then within 4 beats of my audio clip Xformer is back to step 1 this doesn't matter if I change the number of steps to any multiple of 7. Here's a little improv I did yesterday. Using dummy clips to trigger my effects racks and Mobius as a plug-in for the looping.

I'm getting great results so far with Mobius looper plug-in, that sets the tempo from my first loop and sending that midi clock over the IAC bus to Live as the tempo slave. Using delay effects on my incoming audio were right in sync with the initial loop that set the tempo in Mobius.
