Here as well. I can be playing my midi keyboard for an extended piano practice, and it plays fine through Ableton even as the screen goes to sleep, and when I try to wake it up, it crashes.... and the screen stays dark.
And I've got a live performance soon... :[

time to remove Live 9
Ok, so I installed version 10 and have been using for a while. Everything works. All projects have been moved. I'm ready to free up some space and remove version 9. What can I delete without messing up Live 10. The new version is digging into various previously installed packs and stuff. Don't wanna...

Re: Keeping it light, clean and organized
I got no love from this post.
Still looking for solutions for clearing and lightening my projects folder without messing things up too much. It's not that easy keeping track of all audio files which can come from different places and end up in different locations.
so if anyone wants to pitch in....

fun with guitars search
Hello.
Guitar player for years, producing more on the dance vein but want to incorporate my guitars. Need ideas or direction with racks for turning a fender into something more synthy, weirder, techno perhaps.
Ideas por favor

Keeping it light, clean and organized
Yo!
My Mac is running a little tight on space.
What’s the best approach to keep projects as light as possible. I record many vocal parts and many get chopped and only some parts are really used. Is the ‘manage files‘ along with collect files the best way to go about it?

broken pitch bend wheel fix
Hello,
I have an old Axiom 49 midi keyboard that has a broken pitchblende wheel. Its a pile of garbage unless im able to disable it. haven't had much much by doing it in the controller so I thought that maybe there's a midi tool that can help me force the notes in tune.
Any ideas?

saving 3rd party presets
Hello, buenos dias. Looking for different ways of collecting third party synth presets without having to create groups. I often dedicate some time during my week to just browse my favorite synths preset folders and in various notebooks and pieces of paper I write down interesting sounds that I might...

Suite 9 to standard 10? Downgrade?
If I update my 9 suite to the standard 10, will I be loosing some goods along the way? Is it a downgrade?

drum machines pack included?
Hello. just recently reinstalled Ableton in a new Mac. As I'm getting things up to date I noticed that my Live 9 download included in the browser the "drums" tab, and in it what appears to be the old "drum machines". Yet in the packs section on their website, there still is the drum machines pack do...

Essencial instruments location
I used to have all my samples and the EIC collection in my MBP when I was running live 8, but since upgrading to 9 i noticed the size of the packs to be way bigger. I'm thinking about installing those extras in an external drive. Is this recommended? Where should I instruct Ableton to find the new l...

Live 9. No elbow room!
I'm definitely not gonna have enough room for my old Live 8 library with the old EIC 1 samples AND Live 9 with all the packs to download, plus EIC 2! Can I delete the old library, and how do I get my old personal Racks and instruments presets that I've created over the years on to this new version. ...

Cleaning up old ableton files
I just installed version 8.3.4. I've been using Live since version 5 i think, and on this MacBook Pro for a couple of versions without digging to clean up much of the older version's stuff. Just curious if anyone knows where and how i should go to delete any unnecessary older Live files that are lef...

Re: Help with Firewire Audiophile no RCA out
Today I ran a Mac OSX maintenance program called ONYX and did some cache cleaning, restarted the computer and now everything works fine. I'll post any developments for anyone that is having the same issues.
Good.

Help with Firewire Audiophile no RCA out
Something is happening with my mac/m-audio firewire audiophile. The other day, out of nowhere, the rca outs stopped sending out a signal. I could still get sound out of the headphones, and into the rca inputs though. I tweaked the software mixer, reset it, re-installed the drivers… everything. No lu...

ableton cache decoding mp3 to wavs
I just ran a program called Grandperspective that shows you in a graphic way what files are on you computer and how much room they take, and found a huge section of .wav files taking up quite a bit of room, and they turned out to be mp3 files that I have on my DJ sets, and ableton converts into wav ...
