maybe like a global tuning parameter (Logic for example) or right-clicking on an instrument and seeing a tunings folder...

How 'bout that Autopan? That can gate just like you're mentioning. It can be very useful too to use them in series.

it would be best then to mix both the compressed and uncompressed signals through an effect rack, like in some of the "upward compression" presets on your return track. Delay compensation may need to be on, at least for the standard plug-in since it can have up to a 10ms lookahead.

I'd like some pre-fader action as well - just becuase I think they're rad.
In the meantime if I want multiple pads grouped to a return, aka a submix, I use the "I-O" button (show/hide input/output section) and this gives you the option to route any pad to anty existing return.

I want this added too. You record a few run-throughs in session mode, but you only loop the desired section. It'd be nice to right-click or command+J and consolidate only the fragment you need. A'ight?

I love the Edit Info Text feature, but am extremely bummed notes are ignored for macros when saving! This may be a bug, but some notes save, like the Device Title Bar, but not the macros. Keeping notes as part of a rack's preset is essential and will be very, very useful three or for months from now...
