Does ableton utilize all 8 cores?

I am probably buying a Mac Pro this week and run ableton 7 presently will Ableton use all 8 Cores or is it a waste for this app?

i did a ton of work on it in 7 thats the one prob so 6 wont open it.

Can't open file!!!!

Live 7 now wont open a file I just saved it keeps crashing whenever I try to open it. Any solutions??
