Re: Remember the Bloody Audio Interface!

So the request is for Live to auto-detect the audio device, right? Because the program already "remembers" the last device & driver used. And while that's a perfectly fine feature to request, it isn't that hard to go into preferences and select the device.. like 5-10 seconds of your time. No, it do...

Re: Execute Clips In Succession Vertically

What's really needed IMO is an option to set Follow time as a number of loops of the clip, rather than an absolute bar:beat:16ths value. It could even allow for fractions of a loop (1/2, 1/4, etc). A default of 1 would just play the clip all the way through once and then trigger the Follow action.

Re: Import multiple audio files to separate tracks?

This doesn't work on a Mac - use command-drag instead.

Re: So far, miserable upgrade experience for Live 9.

Unfortunately, it is NOT a feature that Live 9 has - I was misled by talking to someone who should know. I've been complaining about this for *five years* and I've been basically been told that I'm being difficult and unreasonable - but pretty well every other sequencer has had this feature for the...

Re: Update LIVE 9 for RETINA !!!

You're right, we shouldn't buy nice new hardware ever. WTF were we thinking? In fact, we should still be using the same old computers we were using when Live 1.0 came out. After all, they were fine for us back then, right? It's a simple, honest, reasonable request. As for anyone who has a pro...

Coming up on two years, still no sign of this basic, extremely useful feature.

Re: Motu ultralite explodes into wall of white noise

This is a Windows issue. The reason 'company's know about these problems for years and never do anything about it' is because there is nothing to be done on their end. The problem is with Windows. No, it is not a Windows issue. I've never owned a Windows box or attached one to my MotU POS, so how i...

Re: Why isn't there official Obj Model documentation for APC40?

The APC-40 was a botched product release, plain and simple. Akai never bothered to produce any real documentation for it. They're a faceless Japanese corporation with no real customer support. Cycling74 OTOH is a tiny American company that didn't dedicate enough manpower to documentation - Ma...

Re: Motu ultralite explodes into wall of white noise

It could well be just the Motu, they have this problem with a number of their models (I have an 828mk3), they've known for years, and they've never done anything about it. I've had full-blast white noise suddenly coming through my speakers - lovely, that's great for my ears but what do I need ears f...

Re: Remember the Bloody Audio Interface!

This exact problem is irritating the hell out of me. It's not just a matter of re-selecting the interface, either; I often have to change the buffer size back to the previous value, re-enable input and output channels, and even change the damn channels for a project that used to work earlier on the ...

Re: Can I midi lean the steps of the monosequencer?

Or just use Mira:

(if you have an iPad)

Physical knobs are still really appealing, but stuff like this is making it harder for me to justify the effort to build a knob controller...

Re: Can I midi lean the steps of the monosequencer?

It's a little tricky because each of the steps of the Mono Sequencer is really an item in a list stored as a single parameter entry in a dict object and the multisliders - to address them individually with knobs, you need to somehow break them up into individual parameters. You could do this by crea...

Assign Device Control

Is there a way to choose which parameters in a Max For Live patcher get assigned to which Device Control knobs on an APC40 or other controller? I'm working with a slightly modified version of MonoSequencer in Live 9 and the knob assignments are (a) pretty much at random, apparently, and (b) not chan...
