I recently created my first track, using Ableton, but I feel the bass for the track is very weak. I used "glitch" under the "impulse" category alone, but I have been advised to use a variety of instruments (looped) for the "beat" of the track for stronger bass.

If any of you have recommendations ...

Is it possible to record preset changes in the middle of recording?

For example, I want to record changes in the "release" volume, slowly increasing the release as the track progresses.

Do any of you feel that Ableton is somewhat limited with the tools it has for creating original tracks?

I feel that most of the tracks I've made sound too electronic and I can't seem to step outside the realm of techno.

Should I invest in other software as well? Some say Cubase is better for ...

When DJing, I'm having a problem with delay in the track launch.

For example, I want to start the next track on beat with the beginning of the next beat measure. However, after clicking the "launch" button, it takes about a second for the track to start up.

How can I prevent this delay?
