I'm investing in a new laptop - Dell XPS 15 with 1080p screen upgrade.
Which processor is going to be better for use with Ableton Live 8

Core i5 560m (Dual core)

or

Core i7 740qm (quad core)

Price doesn't bother me, performance does. Don't want a mac tho before anyone asks.

You cant beat a bit of outboard tho
And ableton 7 makes it that little bit easier

Just to say that Drum rack and the little thing External instrument in ableton live 7 have absolutely made me the happiest ive ever been (away from the pub). Wow, so simple to use, so much fun!
