How to beef up a sub bass?

I have a problem in that my sub is covered up by a pad I'm using. I'm fairly certain this isn't because of my earphones.
Any suggestions on what's wrong?

new to Live- time envelope?

In Live 6, is there a way to slow down a tracks's tempo in the same way you can transpose the pitch?
I can't seem to find a way to do it without warping the track.
