Ableton Live should retain full undo history after save.
At the moment, Ableton clears the undo history after a save. I would even go as far to say that this is a bug, and should get resolved. I almost lost work because of this (lucky I had a backup).

Re: Total newbie: Mixing/mixdown during writing
Nothing wrong, but it can distract over the most important part that is composing. Also, you may change sounds at some point so you may have to re do eqing and so on. I also consider it better workflow to finish the arrengement and then mix. But having reverbs and delays at the sends for playing wi...

Re: How do I make this sound?
This is built on a NI Massive oscillator waveform (I forget which one). Shouldn't take too long to go through them and find which one.

Re: Piano key attack sound.
If your piano sound is synthesized, I would recommend increasing the length, of the attack stage of the amp (and maybe filter) envelopes. If a sampled piano sound is playing back, and your have tried experimented with different velocities, it could just be that sampled piano isn't to your taste. The...

macbook pro / imac or mac pro
Out-of-the-box...no stuttering or glitching, and thats just with the onboard sound-card.
If you come from a pc that does the above, you wont look back

Session view midi clip too quiet
Hi guys & girls,
I have this one particular session view midi clip, which plays way too quietly when compared with other clips in the channel.
My velocities seem ok,
Am I overlooking something?

Re: Serum vs. Zebra - a meaningful comparison?
Love the visual aspect of Serum. Animated modulations of parameters is fantastic for identifying what is going on in a patch.
Just a shame however, that going by the patches included, it sounds quite sterile to my ears.

Re: Is Live dead already?
Having invested time in various DAWs, for everything but mixing, I say Live beats everything out there. Push is an amazing controller..tightly integrated..and the scales functionality it provides really helps those who aren't classically trained keyboardists. It's already incredible mature. Bitwig i...

an ADSR modulation device
Hi, Is anyone aware of a max4live device which can react to midi notes, and modulate (via ADSR) a mapped device parameter of my choosing? I've found the following post, but none of those listed here seem to have a 'release' setting. https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=214386&hilit...
