I would like a message box to pop up with a file opening percantage count.

At present all there is is the "loading file....." message which doesn't help me at all when errors occur. At present when a file fails to open I have to reboot my PC, and for a live program this is completely ...

Got a file (it seems generally that live 7 opens file slower than live 6) which refuses to open in live 7.

What steps can I take to find out why this might be.

I receive 0 error messages and have left the PC for half an hour just to make sure it is not being incredibly slow.

The guitar aspect was a joke, but it makes a valid point.

Even if new features are incompatible, you should be able to save as older version and loose these new settings.

Wanting more money - It so is that isn't it? I can't name a single other program that limits this (apart from word, but there are get rounds), particularly in the creative industries (I can open CS3 files on my photoshop 6).

Does ableton 7 have any backwards compatibility options (say Save As live 5 set)?

We've found 6 and 7 crashes too often, but 5 is quite reliable.

I think it would make sense to let people know that you couldn't open ALS in older versions as it will ...
