Arpeggiator in Ableton with Groove Funktion
Ok, you finally managed to give Ableton 8 a Groove Section where you can select groove Quantize a bit more specific than the normal 1-100% swing in earlier versions.
But why did you not include the Arpeggiator section in Ableton as well. here its still the same!
Please give us the option to choose ...

Re: Improvement of the Audio Engine
All I know is that I can hear a difference between, Ableton and Logic...
i cant explain why but i trust my ears and therefore fact is that logic, cubase or sonar just sound better.
Allot of well know electronic musicians that i know say the same and they use ableton for live acts but not in the ...

Re: Improvement of the Audio Engine
yes sure, thats also true,
but lets say you record a midi part and send it to some softsynth plugin and lay under some beats made in battery
bounce it out (render) in ableton and in logic 9 the end result will be better from logic.
i made that test with a friend of mine whos has logic and you can ...

Even working in 32 bit recording/exporting the sound which comes out from ableton doens´t compare with the other production softwares on the market. Logic, Cubase, Sonar...

Select the Groove pattern also in the Ableton Arpeggiator
Why not make it possible to select the Groove File applied to a session
and applie it to the arpeggiator of ableton so this will keep the same swing?
Should not be too hard?

Re: Charlie May from Spooky bags the Ableton Sound Engine
In Computer Music 142 Charlie May of Spooky, who works with Sasha, notes that he has to bounce everythin out of Ableton Live and bring it into logic because "the summing engine just doesn't sound as good" This is like computer music mag is from August 2009 and is the drum and bass special.

Re: Improvement of the Audio Engine in Ableton!!!
I wouldn't dream of using Live outside HQ mode, in which it seems to compare favourably to just about everything, including Pro Tools HD.
However, looking at the HF rolloff on Logic and Sonar, they will give it a "smoother" sound than Live. Live looks like it has a much sharper HF filter (and one ...

Re: Charlie May from Spooky bags the Ableton Sound Engine
I worked in a music store for a year and I tested all sequencers like Logic, Sonar, Cubase...
I use live for all my production of Techno and Tech House cause its just a great tool but when it comes to mixing
down I either mix the individual files down in Sonar using the uad 2 plugs or I send them ...

Re: Charlie May from Spooky bags the Ableton Sound Engine
well guys, it actually is true. The Ableton sound-engine is really bad.
Long time i didn't want it to be true, but then i tried it for myself.
I've tested Live vs Reaper3. I've routed live to reaper via rearoute(a reaper thing, with which you can route things between audio-programms), no ...

Improvement of the Audio Engine in Ableton!!!
To make it short!
We all know that Ableton just doesn´t sound like Sonar, Cubase, Logic, Protools or Samplitude
but competes with these audio sequencers on the market.
I am using Ableton for producing my material but I allways have to export the individuall audio tracks
so I can mix them down in ...
