Re: Still No Scissor/Snip Tool In Live?

No, but maybe this tip helps you (worth watching the whole video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FREeWJ1yxo&feature=youtu.be&t=3m24s Basically you can select any piece, drag it down a bit and just drop it in the same place, it will be split without needing ctrl+E. Even easier in Live 10,...

Still No Scissor/Snip Tool In Live?

I've been using another DAW since 2012. I decided to venture back into Live, and immediately I begin to record and edit. Yet, I find right away that I'm hamstrung with ctrl-E. Has Ableton seriously not implemented a snip tool? Please tell me there is a scissor tool.

Open Live and look up on the main bar. Next to your your metronome and time signature selector is a square box with the number "0". This is your groove control, aka "rubber band". Now, in a clip you have a groove option. Here you can select whether or not you'd like the groove ap...

It's likely that this is controlled within the M-Audio interface. You should have access to your M-Audio mixer through an icon on your taskbar. Otherwise, you can find the mixer in the control panel. It should say "M-Audio Firewire 410" or something like that. Once in the mixer window, the...
