Re: Midi Channels

Hi, I set it to receive messages from different channels on each track, yes. But it seems like there's something wrong with it, it doesn't put out any sounds unless I bring up the re-arm button to the right track. Also seems like it gets even worse? I'm not quite sure what's happening there.

I am ...

Midi Channels

Hi, I haven't posted here for a while, I'm getting ready to going live with my music, so I really wanted to ask, how do I get several different VST setups on different Midi Channels, and so that I don't need to re-arm each channel every time I switch to a different midi channel?

If that's not ...

Re: France passes the "three strikes" law against i-pirates

There was an article a while ago about piracy on the internet. It said that people/companies who create something shouldn't really care for the piracy, because people who download instead of buy are not their market anyway, so there are not really any lost profits.

But this thought is flawed, I for ...

Re: Is Ableton rock-able?

Well yes, probably the way to go is via midi channels, if I'm not wrong, there could be up to 16 midi channels, but who really needs that many? though it's weird you're saying patch changes are difficult? so I can't just say in omnisphere I can have a pallet of live sounds preloaded to memory (16 ...

Is Ableton rock-able?

Hello, I'm a piano/synth player, and I've also tried a little bit of ableton live demo, but I would like to know, if in your experience, Ableton Live is suitable for bands that play Progressive/Power/Gothic Rock/Metal? It's just that I see so much talk about it more as a DJ/Electronica tool, but I'm ...

Hey, I got the K271 Studio too, and I'm really impressed with it.

Also I wouldn't want to ruin the discussion, but it's something related.

I got the Audiophile 2496 sound card, and Roland RD-300SX Digital Piano (With MIDI of course), when I'm playing any VSTs, through ableton live or anything else ...

There's the CME midi controller series which offer a mackie control universal standard so that when you use cubase, you use the u-ctrl A mode (I've seen it in the vx introduction video) and it automatically sets everything up for you...

That's much better than having to set everything yourself, no?

Bumpitty bump....

Actually, I meant from C to E on the next octave.

I'm kinda surprised no one is looking for that feature (I guess they are fine with their midi keyboards)

PC Keyboard from C to E on the next octave

Hi, I'm using Ableton Live 7 and loving it. But there's a little problem with using the PC Keyboard, from C to D is not enough keys to play typical small compositions (Like for example... For Elise). I'm just saying that even though I'm getting myself CME VX8 really soonish, it will be nice to have ...
