Re: Teaming up 2 computers
The simplest way would be to take the stereo main outputs from one computer and route them physically to the interface connected to the other computer. Set up a track in Live on the second computer that is labeled as the first computer's outputs. Then mix between the two and bounce the result from t...

Re: Why do clips start at 1 instead of 0?
As I've just posted in another thread about anacrusis here's my thoughts. Music usually (in 4/4) starts on 1.. we count 2 , 3, 4 and then go back to 1. So normally clips should start on Bar 1 Beat 1 (as they do now) But when you have pickup / anacrusis these notes come before bar 1 beat 1. So I thi...

Re: FORUM ISSUE
There are valid reasons for NOT allowing a user to delete their threads which I am sure the moderators would agree with. For a starter, if you post a "stupid" question about a simple issue you solve, instead of deleting your question why not help others out and post your solution. It may ...

Re: Live foot controller other than Behringer?
I really wish Roland would update the FC-300 with a USB model. It's expensive, but it's built like a brick shithouse and is super easy to remap all of the pedals.

Re: Am I the *ONLY* one finding M4L actually honestly unusable!?
The problem with the arguments on the “unusable” side are that there are so many things that could be causing these types of instability when it comes to computers and especially a system like M4L. The tough truth is that if you’re rolling your own devices it could very well come to down to… you suc...

Re: Syncing DFAM with Live 10
It’s still possible to send a signal but the signal the Eurorack gear will receive will not be the full range it’s expecting, which can affect performance depending on what you’re trying to do (1v/oct for instance would not work very well for sure). Setting that issue (which could still be the probl...

Re: Syncing DFAM with Live 10
Focusrite interfaces don’t have DC coupled outputs, to my knowledge, which is necessary in order to pass signals to Eurorack gear as CV.

Re: Am I the *ONLY* one finding M4L actually honestly unusable!?
...i don't have problems with m4l devices and i use them a lot and have a lot of them implemented in my standard template...so what does that tell you?...maybe i'm just lucky but maybe others who have problems with m4l just use devices that are not built/designed in the best way... I think this com...

Re: Am I the *ONLY* one finding M4L actually honestly unusable!?
The people in this thread going "oh I've never had problems with M4L in it's entire decade of existence" have never worked with Max in isolation, and don't use M4L to do any heavy lifting in their projects. Not in my case. I use Max more than I use M4L (or even Live for that matter), and ...

Re: First Trip to Deutschland
Thanks for the replies guys! Lots of good info here. @scheffkoch: I will be there May 13–19, flying into Frankfurt and then taking a train to Cologne. After reading everyone’s advice and looking into transportation options I think I will rent a car after all. I do have one question with regard to th...

First Trip to Deutschland
I will finally be making a trip to Germany in May to do some research, and since this is one place I know where Germans or people living there congregate I figured I'd ask some questions. Transportation: I'll be staying in Kürten and the folks there have advised I rent a car to be able to drive into...

Re: Am I the *ONLY* one finding M4L actually honestly unusable!?
i'm running win8 on a macbook pro from 2014 or so. i'd be surprised if it's OS related but who knows. I wouldn't. Max was Mac-centric software pretty much from its inception (early prototypes on NeXT in the late 80's; first Windows version in 2003). I have noticed a trend on these forums over the y...

That's insane, and certainly not even in the same universe as my own experiences.19oclock wrote:Anything more than a couple of objects in a device and I step back to see what I've done wrong.
I'm curious as to whether the people in this thread who have these extreme issues are PC users.

Re: Theory Question - Available Chords
A Gm9 in the key of G Major would be an example of modal mixture, which is the borrowing of chords from the parallel minor key in relation to the home key. It’s usually done the other way, with something in the key of G Minor moving to a G major chord, but the other way happens too. It’s just that i...
