Re: Live 9.1 // OS X 10.9.0 // Kernel panics
Haha and now it's not bouncing properly either... a project I worked on at some point with the 9.1 betas has a track with a Max For Live instrument on it, and that track is rendering totally out of time, like the MIDI is playing back super erratically... This is super frustrating and disappointing, ...

Live 9.1 // OS X 10.9.0 // Kernel panics
Running Live 9.1 (release version) on OS X 10.9.0 is giving me very frequent kernel panics... 9.1b26 was quite stable but the first 2 times running the release version of 9.1 I got kernel panics straight away... The first one was before I could even touch anything in the GUI, the 2nd one was when I ...

M4L requires the horribly insecure Java 6?
Just setting up Live 9.0.6 after reinstalling OS X (10.8.5) and I installed the latest Java SE directly from Oracle (Java 7 update 40) but when I launch instances of Max For Live effects, I get an OS X dialogue box saying that Java 6 SE is required... Java 6 is rife with security issues that will *n...

Re: THE BIGGEST reason why a 3rd party bit-bridge sucks
No, you're missing my point. I knew there was no built-in bit bridge.
But did I know that the only 3rd party solution was so undercooked? That it would lose the loaded preset when recovering from a crash as I mentioned in my OP?

THE BIGGEST reason why a 3rd party bit-bridge sucks
- Load bridged plugins
- Ableton crashes (like it always does)
- Restart Ableton, recover crashed session
- Bridged plugins are reset to the default preset
Kill me now...

Still able to download "program only" versions?
Since the new site has gone live, I've noticed there's no longer links to the "program only" versions of Live provided in the Accounts page... are these still going to be available?

I seriously hope they've given multicore support some extra love... if it gets even half-way to Reaper's levels of efficiency I'll be over the moon

Re: Multicore support needs a big overhaul
Wow, cool to see this thread is still alive :) Having no problem with Live at all here. Not able to repeat OP's results. This is how I tested: Live 8.3, DCAM Cypher on 4x realtime with 4 voices, 4 unison playing straight 16th notes on C3. Was able to load 31 instances before I heard the first dropou...

Re: Apple buying Ableton?
Wow, since Redmatica is a subsidiary of Ableton, it's only a matter of time before the big announcement is made official!! Huh? Really? Can you possibly post some more info on the connection between the two companies? Can't seem to find anything that links the two in any way... Or have I done been ...

Re: Live & Lion: "list" view in open/save dialog boxes
Still present in 8.3
I know it's a minor thing, but it is quite annoying for people who use date formats other than mm/dd/yyyy (e.g. us Australians)... been around for quite a while now without a fix too - since 8.2.6.
