There's the US, and there's NYC. It's abut as different as West Berlin was to West Germany back in the day - an island with it's own identity and culture. NYC is surprisingly warm in spirit, there's a rough kind of friendliness that permeates through the city, something that disappears as soon as yo...

if you are a male musician/producer, you may like to know, or may like to be reminded, that girls like to dance  end of discussion They sure do. But why do girls always have to put their arms above their head at some point? 8O The more important question is why you seem to have a problem with...

I don't know if I'm talented or not, that's not for me to decide anyway. All I know is I don't know anyone who sounds like me, and I can't make myself sound like anyone else, no matter how I try, and I can't explain it.

complexity, overkill, cost? back to the lego example: not everyone would prefer to build a car out of legos. most people would rather just buy a car. on the other hand one of the strengths of reaktor is the large user library of patches. so you can find many pre-made cars on there which might suit ...

Imagine a big box of Lego, giving you the possibility to build whatever you can think of. That's Reaktor. It's an effect box, synth, sampler, sample player, granular wotsit, sequencer, drum machine, all at the same time. What kind of sound does it produce? Whatever you tell it to. What kind of music...

for a defined tune rather than just jamming or DJing, 13 minutes and several tracks in excess of 7 minutes. On an album you ideally only want two or three tracks to go longer than 6 minutes - really, unless you're into prog rock or doing live jamming, it gets a bit self indulgent and mastubatory to...
