Access HID Device in Control Scripts

Is it possible to interface with a HID device in one of Ableton's Control Scripts? Where should I look for an example? Is there a particular library provided in the environment?

AKAI APC Key 25 - Control Script - Launch 8 clips on 5 track

Here's a rotated control script for the AKAI APC Key 25: https://github.com/triss/Ableton-Live-A ... ote-Script

It gives you control over 5 tracks and 8 clips, rather than the 8 tracks and 5 clips in each that you get by default.

Hopefully, others will find it useful too.

Re: Minimal bass VST?

You can probably do it in a simpler! It makes a good simple synth as well as a sampler. Get the Live 7 content.

Dunno about postal service but low pass squares or pitch bent sine waves are what i think of when i think minimal bass.

Re: How to "correctly" use sends?

sends are tools for creativity. be creative with them.

this article's really good: http://www.renoise.com/indepth/renoise- ... nd-tracks/

and the sends in renoise are not half as flexible as the ones in ableton. (feedback ftw).

Copying clips with MIDI controllers.

http://www.ableton.com/news/cars-trains-ableton-live-is-the-engine Filepp's improvisations are enabled by innovative controller setups - just one button on one of his controllers is set to copy the current clip in Live and duplicate it into new scenes, such that a particularly inspired loop can be e...

Re: capture and insert scene?

No, and you don't need it. Instead, you save the information about the current playing clips, "clip 3 on track 0, clip 5 on track 1, clip 0 on track 2", or in the kind  are you suggesting I come up with my own method for keeping tracks of sets of clips rather than use scenes in the ...
