I should stop posting in OT threads only ... anyways ... +1 for William Gibson, even if everything after the Neuromancer Trilogy didn't quite live up to the initial hype. Neuromancer for SF is like the opening riff of "Smoke on the Water" for Rock music, a classic you have to know +1 for Hyperion, S...

Sennheiser CX 300 (current favourite for the money) Creative EP 630 (I got the feeling the Sennheisers sound slightly better) I had the KOSS Plugs for quite a while, but the isolation is too extreme for my liking (its basically a styrofoam earplug with a speaker whereas the others have easier fittin...

one other possibility is that the CPU meter displays the ratio between available and used time for the last block calculation. For example, if an audio app is producing audio at 44.1 kHz mono and sending blocks of 1024 samples to an otherwise unbuffered audio interface, the following block would be ...

I've noticed this with nearly all of my bass guitar recordings (yamaha rbx775 with active circuit) Waveform peaks above zero are way larger than those below zero. Anybody got an idea why this happens? I wouldn't say it sounds bad, but then again I haven't had a chance to compare it to other bass gui...

"Saturnine" by The Gathering http://youtube.com/watch?v=LiBDjCFUBxg They caught me by surprise on a Bizarre Festival I went to several years ago. Didn't even want to watch their gig, because I'm not into mellow headliners, but, since I liked their "how to measure a planet" album, I figured I'd watch...

I was pretty pleased with my Tech 21 psa-1/Peavey Classic 50/50 combination for the last few years (lucky impulse buy) and got a G-Major and a FCB-1010 two years ago, works nicely, very flexible. Tried GR2 briefly but didn't like the high gain sounds at all and went for a POD XT. It also only took a...

nonnus,
what kind of computer are you using? I've had my Motu Traveler for ca. 18 months now, no problems on my old iBook G4 800 and on my two months old iMac 24". There are known issues on Mac Pros though, check the apple discussions.
