Yeh pretty sure MIDI will be sent over USB and the din connections - you only need one of the other

For Waves VSTs on a mac..... Hold alt-option and click rescan plugins. Fixed it for me just now.

No MIDI on the VE20, so just a matter connecting a mic to the VE20, and running the VE20 outputs to your soundcard/audio interface inputs. You can record audio into ableton, run effects within ableton on the audio (live also), and that's about it.

Whenever a large company runs a public competition to source content for a commercial release (in this case, a game), it seems more like a marketing process than some altruistic motivation to give unknown artists some exposure.

Thanks all. I've been using standard for over a decade, back when 3rd party plugins were a must have. Wavetable does sound incredible in the demo videos.

True. My crappy first converters sounded as clear as a mobile phone speaker. Pretty sure I couldn't have heard any difference between 24 and 32 bit... Or even 16 bit.

I use Apogee converters. I shouldn't hear any difference then, no?
