Re: Solo Violin Noise
Unfortunately, I don't have Sampler. It uses Simpler in multisample mode, in which I cannot see the samples.

Solo Violin Noise
I am using the full blown Solo Violin instrument (not the light versions) from Orchestral Strings with Live 8.2 on OSX. Whenever I play a long D4, such as a whole note at 90 bpm, with a velocity greater than 82, there is this noise like a duck quacking on about the third beat. Has anyone else encoun...

Both songs sound fine to me. That is a funky video, by the way.

Re: Anyone have the Dance Music Manual by Rick Snowman?
I learned a few things from Snoman's book, but most of it didn't really help me. It seems to me to be like a music cookbook, i.e. if you want to make a "xxxx" song, do "aabbccdd" type thing. Anyway, I think that Roey's Mixing Audio is by far the most useful and informative book t...

Re: Anyone have the Dance Music Manual by Rick Snowman?
what about the Simon Cann books ? I bought "How To Make A Noise" with the hope that I could learn to actually make a decent sound with my synth. Unfortunately, that book is really just a more detailed user manual for the synths that he uses. If you are not using or are not prepared to use...

That is a cool song! I really like the 'hugeness' of the various instruments.

New Song - The Ifrit's Caravan
This is a song that I wrote for a bellydancer. It is sort of electronic jazz with a gypsy flair. Let me know what you think. All feedback is welcome!

Re: need feedback on this industrial-ish track
I think that there is too much intro and not enough song. You could try bringing in the drums much earlier. You could also have the chord changes begin sooner, too. Finally, it could use some kind of melody. Call me old-fashioned, but I still think that a song needs melody, harmony, and rhythm.

Does anyone have Welsh's Synthesizer Cookbook?
Does anyone here have this book? If you do, can you tell me how he makes an accordion sound? Thanks!

Re: upgrade Virus from Indigo to TI or jump ship?
I love my Virus! I have the Ti2, and it is simply awesome. I have never had an Indigo, though, so I can't offer any comparisons. But I really like the Total Integration thing. I makes the Virus look just like a plug-in in Live. It is very convenient!
