Re: New Simpler - Slice on Grid instead of transients?
Not with the m4l device loaded. Without it, envelope release works as expected. With it, notes stay sustained indefinitely when loop is on.

Re: New Simpler - Slice on Grid instead of transients?
That's a neat solution. Thanks. I only wish it didn't sustain the notes indefinitely when you put the sample in loop mode.

Re: New Simpler - Slice on Grid instead of transients?
I guess I should be more clear. It isn't necessarily slicing to a button grid i mean, but rather slicing on 1/8 notes instead of on transients. What I really want to do, is slice a clip into 8 equal parts.

New Simpler - Slice on Grid instead of transients?
Is it possible to tell the new Simpler, in slice mode, to slice on a note grid instead of transients? I see the "preserve" setting with note amounts, but no matter what i do, it's still just slices on transient detection. Basically, I'd love to just take a loop and have it slice on 1/8 not...

Re: audio on launchpad not working please help
He was saying that you don't make sense when you don't type properly. If you don't make sense, people can't help you. And if you can't understand the help that people give you, there's no point in anyone trying at all. (since someone already pointed out that your problem has NOTHING to do with Launc...

Re: Anyone know what these hats are?
Yeah, it seems like the 606 is kinda looked over because the sounds aren't that "great", until you hear them in a context where they stand out, and then you realize how distinct they are.

Re: why is 'Map to all siblings' a hidden function?
It doesn't work entirely right. It's great, and I use it, but sometimes it's just plain wrong. For example. if you have multiple chains with vastly different settings, and you have the ON/OFF of a device buried within a chain of devices, and you have that device in all the chains, but not in the sam...

Re: Advantage of REX files over regular WAVs for use in Live?
I wasn't questioning your "production skills". And you can have all the "thoughts" you want. But your "thought" that ReCycle doesn't use transient detection to create REX files is flat out wrong, and since someone came in here asking for details, I wanted to make sure ...

Re: Advantage of REX files over regular WAVs for use in Live?
Right.. k.. Recycle has transient detection. I never said it didn't. You are still better off slicing by hand. And recycle makes rex files, by saving them in the rex format, not by transient detect. I'm curious what you think REX format is then. Cause it is an audio file with embedded data for &quo...

Transient detection is how ReCycle makes REX2 files. Right.. k.. Recycle has transient detection. I never said it didn't. You are still better off slicing by hand. And recycle makes rex files, by saving them in the rex format, not by transient detect. I'm curious what you think REX format is then. ...

Re: Advantage of REX files over regular WAVs for use in Live?
So, in conclusion, given Live's automatic transient detection - there isn't really any tangible advantage to working with REX files within the Live environment. Nope, that's not true bro. You would have to use Reason, not Recycle, to understand what is up with the rex files. Anyways, using transien...

Re: Feedback within a rack using compressor sidechains
Nice. Sidechaining on the compressor can do some neat tricks. I use the sidechain input of a compressor to hack a Delay/Reverb Audio Effect Rack I made be able to have a knob that switches them between Serial and Parallel.
