MIDI Clips follow Time Signature Changes in Arrangement View!

Hello,

this seems like a mistake: Whenever you change the Time Signature in Arrangement View, the Clips don't change theirs, so the Grid of the Clips are not corresponding to the Position of the Song. The only solution is to make a new Clip...

"Freeze Instruments"

You are done with production and it comes to the mixing part. You want to free up ressources, so you freeze tracks. But you still want your Effects to be tweakable.
Right now you would have to: Remove all FX from your track, Freeze the Instrument, put the FX back on the track.
What about the Option ...

New Beta - Ableton improves Performance!

Wow!

Just wanted to share my excitement about this! Live has always been kind of a CPU Hog compared to Hosts like Reaper.
It's great that they make this a priority!

Session View at the Screen of Push 2!

Dear Ableton Team,

i really like the new Push, but I think there are some things you could use the nice new display for.
My biggest wish:

Please give us a 8*8 Representation of the Session View, so I can identify all the clip names of the session in Push! The one thing your great pads can't ...

Re: Ableton with Windows 7 64-bit. Does it work with it?

Hi,

i don't know if somebody mentioned it already, but there is a software out there named jbridge, that let's you integrate 64-Bit Plugins in a 32 bit host by using the memory from the system and not from the memory allocated by live. this works VERY well for me. i use large sample libraries and ...

Re: How to select a non-square area in arrangement view?

Thanks a lot for the tips!

I try to explain another way:

Three clips in the Arrangement window:

000000------------------------------------------ 1

-----------------000000000---------------------- 2

-----------------------------------0000000------ 3

I want to select and move Clip 1 and 3 ...

Re: How to select a non-square area in arrangement view?

thanks for your reply! but even then i can just select the whole area, so if i have three clips like this:

How to select a non-square area in arrangement view?

well, i guess i should know... but i don't get it! if i want to select multiple clips in the arrangement view, there is always a square region selected and not the individual clips. this is very annoying, if i want to move parts there are often clips cutted that didn't mean to be moved.

can someone ...

Hello there!

I got the same problem, doesn't seem to be about the graphic card's driver. Tried different drivers, disabled acceleration - still dropouts when opening new effects.
Is there anyone who managed to fix this?

Alright, but I still would need to do the virtual MIDI thing to set Mobius as the SYNC Master in Live - as long as I get it, thanks to the helpful explanations from OvertoneZero. Actually, it's all about the one missing function in Live for me that could be called: "Set first recorded loop as tempo ...

I read it and Augustus seemed to be the right thing for me, but unfortunally it's a Mac only software, I'm PC. So i try the Mobius, but this one seems a bit complex to me (actually i just need the Tempo-Master-Option).

Grouping Audio like DrumRacks do!!!

Hello,

I would love to have a function in Live, which seems to me easy to implement but helps a lot to get a good overview!

DrumRacks have the feature to "unfold" the drum elements to to see them as separate tracks. So that's a midi operation.
I JUST WANT THE SAME FOR AUDIO!!!

If you record a ...

How to start a looping session without a loop?

Hi everybody!

I try to figure out something and could need some help!
For a theatre-performance, I want to start a loop-built-soundscape with a microphone. I use a Midi-Foot-Controller for that purpose.

I don't want to use a loop before I created one on stage to get me in sync right from the start ...
