I have Ableton 6 and a Intel Dual Core CPU. Ableton's native plugins do use both cores but my Waves Renaissance plugins (the latest version availabe) are using only one core which is really inefficient. I called Waves and they said their plugins do support dual core but just not in Ableton Live due ...

The best sound I have gotten (I record acoustic guitar music) is by doing the following: After the recording to a track and adding whatever effects I want in that track (I usually at least use a Waves dither plug in) I "Audio To" that track to another track where ...

My recording needs are pretty simple - just being a solo acoustic guitar. I have been using Live's compressor, equalizer, etc. plus some free VST plugins. Outcome has been pretty good.

Cracking sound introduced when rendering music to disc.

Using Live Delta when rendering a clean sound track to disc using a 44100 sample rate the resulting wav file has faint crackling sounds in it. I can use a really high sample rate to avoid it but the resulting files are huge and not compatible with CD playback. Any one else had this problem and found ...
