Rasputin, I won't mention the numbers yet, But let us say that the comp had to close in order to be able to have the time/energy to listen to every entry submitted. Remixing takes a lot of peoples time and it only seemed fair to be able to give maximum attention to the submitted mixes something that...

wow, there has been a great response.
In order to give every entry a reasonable listen the entry numbers will have to close soon, so if any body wants to join up there are a few places left.

thanks for all that brain power

IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT IF YOU OPEN THE ALS FILE IN LIVE 5 YOU GET AN ERROR MESSAGE. I have tried this with the original files and confirm that it happens , but that everything plays o.k, so if you intend staying in Live 5 save under a new name then you won't see that anymore There ...

Just bringing this back up, Surely ableton Time signature changes is the next great unexplored as far as experimentation goes.

Also is there a way to program static Time sig changes, e.g Bar1-61 in 4/4 and then 62-120 5/4 etc, etc

neb, Know what you are saying, but the top 3 will be downloadable, and who knows, if there are more great entries, maybe I'll set up some more downloads from my site as well as divine freq hosting the top 3. Leisuremuffin, Sleazy is cool in Bangkok as far as I'm aware. And yes did the linn/akai prog...

Remix Competition, test yourself get paid and a credit.

Hi, I have remixed for over 17 years myself ( Nin, coil, depeche, adamski) and I would like to see what somebody can do with one of my tunes . The tune is in 13/8 and might well present you with a challange. In common with remixes I have done I'm saying do what you want with the tune, no rules. If it...

Anyway to do this easily?

Anyway to offset a take ( say vocal, gtr etc) by a couple of ms for feel. I am fed up having to offset everything by musical increments, or else editing the sound and adding silence etc, etc. To Clarify, I want to drop in a Consolidated, edited take in non warp mode ( i.e like tape machine style) bu...

In Live 3 I also had decent sized buss meters for my 16 busses out.
that could be viewed in clip view.

Now I have to look at tiny meters in Arr view.

please bring back the big buss out meters

Chris and 8bit and Conny thanks for the nice comments,
I will just add that these days I'm learning a hell of a lot from the guys on here.
I think it is fantastic that dj's have taken to Ableton, how we are all merging now.

Best
Dan

Thanks for the compliments Chris, Very much appreciated coming from someone as yourself The Market, good question, Most honest answer is I have no idea but that has always been my downfall-LOL. Have had to restrict mp3 snippets to 4 tunes encoded to lower spec, as the server was straining under band...

most boring post in the world

As many of us post our ableton tunes on here, I have followed suit. www.auralrage.com I started the album with Cubase 2, after half a song of "white coats and microscope syndrome" the whole thing was done within only Ableton/Soundforge 7 combo. I personally love the beating that ableton ad...
