i (nearly) always put a compressor on my bassline, sidechained by the kick, so that the bottom of the kick gets its space in the mix. another nice effect is, that you can let your bassline groove like hell if you play arround with the compressorsettings.

what midiinterface are you using? because if you are not using one with "endless" rotary knobs you should keep in mind, that your values will jump if you change them on different tracks.

if both of your laptops have midi-in and -outputs you can sync them via midi.

for example connect the cable from MIDIOUT of LAPTOP1 to MIDIIN of LAPTOP2.

a thank you for your thought. would be somekind of livelooping like "kid beyond" and these other beatboxers using live do it but: looping midi instead of audio. i'll try to figure out, how to do it. the nice thing about it would be, that i could have my drum/percussion set twice: 1) output...

split incoming mididata

hey,

i'm trying to interface my electribe es1 within live6. but i can't midi learn knob in live while the electribe is playing, because it is sending notes also...

is it possible to tell live, that it should ignore midinotes when i'm trying to link parameters?
