Thanks for the reply.
It is odd, I assumed my setup would be fine as you say, but I am just having so much trouble. Perhaps its a windows 8 thing? Not sure where to start.

32bit/64bit issues?
Hi
I have just installed my boxed copy of Live 7 onto my brand new HP laptop. It's quite a beast (12GB RAM, i7 processor, 1TB hard drive) I think, but loads of stuff seems to be causing me a problem. Which is ruining my enthusiasm for my new toy.
The main issue is plugins. Loads just don't seem ...

Recording audio internally...
Hi all
I am sure this should be easy...
I have a program that creates a robot voice, and want to record this into Live.
Can this be done internally somehow? I have tried a lead from the headphone out into the microphone input, but I just get a feedback loop.
Whats the quickest and easiest setup ...

How to make this sound (Burial)
In "Shutta" by Burial, when the stabs come in at about 56 secs, I cant work out what effects are on these stabs, they kind of sound like they hit then quickly duck underwater and tail off for quite a while.
Anyone have any ideas, would quite like to know whats going on there
Thanks

Noisia - Stigma - How to get this sound?
Anyone familiar with this tune?
Theres a bit where the synth slows right down (bang on 3 mins if anyone has it)
How is this done, it's not just a pitch glide down, it kind of breaks gradually up into particles
Any thoughts?
Thanks all.

Copyrighting your own tracks
Years ago when I was actually able to finish a tune I was told the best way to copyright your work is to send a copy of it on Cassette in a jiffy bag to yourself. The postal stamp with the date on it was enough to prove when you made the track in case anyone tried to claim later that they did it ...
