Re: Livecontrol 2
Spent the weekend buying & trying Touchable v2, LiveControl2, and LiveControl via TouchOsc. (Jailbroken iPad 1 via tethered Bluetooth - highly stable connection overall. Live 9.1) Touchable v2 will be definitely my go-to controller for Live. With a little practice it becomes second nature. (It's...

Re: Live 7.0.16 -- lfo does not modulate filter in Operator
Thanks -- yeah, I've been pressing that little "FIL" button, but no luck. But after asking my silly question, I opened a new Live set and ran Operator with one operator set to a saw wave and tried modulating the filter on that. Works fine. So my problem is not that the lfo does not modulat...

Re: LFO in Operator Not Modulating the Filter in Live 7.0.16
I'm not able to get the LFO in Operator to modulate the filter in Live 7.0.16. I've had this problem both on my MacBook (Rev. 3,2 cir. 2007, 2GHz, 4GB RAM) and now on Windows XP.
Is this common, or just my bad luck?

Re: Follow action "when clip ends"
Yes, *please* add this feature. I was just thinking this morning about how as much as I appreciate Noatikl for generative music-making, I don't really use it very much, thanks to Live's follow actions. By expanding the functionality of this feature, Live will have that much more generative potential.

Maybe a FaderFox would do the trick?
I've come to value my PCR-M1 as a solid, portable keyboard controller with a row of assignable knobs. Anything more than that...I need to spend more money on more gear.

Re: Edirol PCR-X00 Series: "Tutorial"-mapping controls
Also, if you really want to have control over your sets for not very much money, there is always the BCR2000, which IS supported by Live and is very easy to use. They cost about as much as the PCR-M1. The Covert Operators have a great, free interface program for the BCR2000 that makes it very versat...

I hate to say it, but for some reason, my settings no longer work either!
I think it's best to manually map the knobs and buttons to individual Live sets. It doesn't take very long, and you can use one mapped set as a template for others.

Re: Anyone here rockin a Korg R3?
Here begins my novel comparing the R3 to the Micron, both of which I have owned. The upshot is: get the R3 if you want, but the Micron sounds better. Keep reading if you want the gorey details.... I had an R3 for a year before selling it on eBay and sticking with my Micron. (I also had a Roland SH-2...

Re: Replacing my Oxygen-8? Behringer, Edirol, something else?
I've used a PCR-M1 for over a year, and it is excellent for portability and it feels solid. Unfortunately, not all of the knobs on mine map midi reliably, nor all of the keys. Most of them work, but if you need all 8 knobs to work all of the time, be sure to check before the warranty expires. Also, ...

Re: Where does Ableton just not cut it?
Scroll wheel implementation seems to be a no brainer by now. Without it, more toys seems almost pointless to me, since for every new Live Device I will have to click and drag that much more. Whereas, if I could change parameters with the scroll wheel alone, like in Zebra2 or Sylenth1, I would buy Li...

Yes, Please...! I'm now about 1 year old, in Live years. In learning how to get around this amazing Sequencing Instrument, I've asked myself many times how come I can't move these controls with the mousewheel. But, being a noob, I figured it was probably supposed to be that way, and that I should be...

I use my Roland Micro-Cube every day. Very good sound, decent effects and amp styles, cheap, solid. I'm thinking of getting a second for creating a nice wide stereo field. Check out the latest gift guide from CDM, where it is reiewed, and its thinner, stereo cousin. (I'll stick with 2 Micro-Cube's, ...

For me, Sylenth makes Analog redundant, first for cpu efficiency, second for sound phatness, third for a workable gui. I still like Analog enough to hang onto it, but it really suffers by comparison. Almost seems like a dated beast nowadays. I'm starting to wonder why Abes picked it to begin with gi...
