M4L devices seems generally not available for clip automation. They don't appear in the device list, even though they are in the track effects chain, and have parameters.

I have a problem with Reaktor FX plugs in Live 3: With Live in loop mode (e.g. looping bar 5-9 in stead of running endlessly), there's a serious glitch and noise everytime the loop starts over. The cpu-meter also jumps up some 5-6 % at the loop point. It happens even at low cpu-loads (< 15 ...

Sorry, I didn't read your post properly. Please pretend you didn't see the word "ram disk" (...oops! I did it again!)

(... but why not? I found Ram disks to be quite efficient...)

It is perfectly possible to create a RAM disk and run audio to/from it. I used RamBuctions in os9; its also available for osX (http://www.clarkwoodsoftware.com/rambunctious). If you're on a PC, I'm sure similar solutions exist in that world too.

I used to get Reaktor 3 to work as a vst plug-in in Live 1.5.2 (after a lot of hassle), but now in Live 2 the only Reaktor plug that shows up in the vst list in Live is the one in mono. Boring!
