[ overly sarasitic reply edited ;) ] Look: The method was not working 100% of the time for some people, including myself. So I posted an alternative. Thats what this board is for, sharing tips. No offense, but if anyone is that wrapped up in what happens on this board, for any reason ... ... you nee...

Still not sure what you need to do with the vocals Live cant do (?). Like he said, just turn off looping on the clip, keep your BPM at the original tempo, then record your vocal take clip as long as you need it to be. At that point you can take and split the clip in any way or as many times as you n...

Its not that warp markers are bad ... you just dont want to set too many of them if you can avoid it. - its a waste of time - you only need a few to make sure the entire track tight - as chris mentioned earlier, you take the chance of screwing with the 'swing' or feel of the track when you set too m...

Had a question for you and Chris regarding the master tempo. I notice that you both adjust the master tempo to get it near the clips tempo. Is this just for the purposes of warping ? Its not nessessary to adjust the master tempo to near the track tempo, at least for purposes of warping. Just have i...

Well .. - By normalizing I mean BBE ---> Waves L2 maxmizing ... not true normalization. I keep the threshold fairly hi not to kill all the dynamics, and put the headroom at -1. Makes things nice and punchy and crisp, and all the tracks are volume matched. Which is the main thing. However people want...

I've been working with this for a little while now and I have an alternative simpler method. It's similar, with a few variations: - Guessing the BPM in the master is an extra step. There is no need to guess the master BPM with this method. - When converting MP3 to wav - which, if we are DJing EDM, i...

1 - Drag a clip - any clip - into a Sesssion slot grid. This can be a short clip, or one long track as a wav file. Doesnt matter 2 - Highlight the clip - playing or not, doesnt matter 3 - Press CTRL -D. Your clip is copied 4 - Click on new clip. Look at the waveform view at the bottom of the screen....

Does Tapit2 record cut loops (1, 2, 4, 8 bar)? It says it does "Synchronized recordings. Four different synchronization sources"
Is that what that means. Do you own this?

Yes, I posted exactly the same (great) idea some time ago! Don´t you find the snap to 1/16th mode for audioclips a real hassle? Everytime you need to set the loop or start marker you have to zoom in an adjust it because it snaps just beside the full bar you wanted! This even when using the ctrl+arr...

SNap to Loop in Clip View
We can use CTRL-L to snap the brackets to a selected area in Arrange view. If we had the same function in a Clip View ... this would allow us to select loops faster in clips during live performance. For instance: Playing a track, hearing a great loop we'd like to copy down on the session grid. Curre...

I have been thinking the same exact thing and agree that Live needs this. I want to be able to assign one filter and use it on individual tracks as needed, use my UC-33 to control this one filter. Using the filter as a send doesnt give the effect needed. Is there any way around this -- other than as...
