Re: Am I the only one that feels like Push 2 is useless?
I've not heard anything in Live that smokes Maschines' drums, are you talking about the stock library or 3rd party stuff? Normally I'd be in full agreement with you, but the new drum sounds they added in 9.5 sound great to my ears. Easily on par with Maschine, though I'll admit you also get a lot m...

Re: Good video of Ableton head of design Ed Macovaz
During the great code-audit Ableton shifted over to Agile Software Development, with its regular release cycles to address product issues. So now we should expect to see regular updates which address such issues as the user categories proble, - if the lessons learned from the big code audit / Ahile...

Re: Puzzling issue - anyone know what's up?!
Hm, don't know :? That guy had the same error message and one guy suggested it's a memory leak. Then he suggests checking if any process in Activity Monitor uses more memory than the kernel_task. Well Live does, but isn't that to be expected from an app like Live? And then he suggests doing a diagn...

If i were you i would start seing which track is to blame, i.e. I would start disabling deleting one by one to see if you can identify which one may be causing it. You will know in a matter of minutes.

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
On the subject of the time it took to develop and release Bitwig: I am working on a software project of my own, it's just me and a friend working on it. It's about 1000 times simpler than a DAW. The time elapsed since I first told friends I was starting on specification and preliminary coding and n...

Re: Live >9.1 + Mavericks upgrade?
hello i've got the exact same mbp model as you with 16gb of ram, running live as 32 bit (hate jbridge solution) but no NI complete, traktor. Definitely seeing beach balls at random times which last for a second or so, but all m4l devices, spectrasonics plugs, reactor etc work fine. Also the indexing...

Re: Isolating partials in FM synthesis with Operator
The problem with Alchemy is that you can't automate the partial's level. Does anyone know of a synth that offers this option?
Does zebra offer this?

Re: Ableton vs Logic engine
You're just reiterating a point already made multiple times and adding nothing new. I use multiple DAWs personally and I think people would be hard pushed to recognise what ones have been used. Actually, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNUGEJ4GFqQ - Tell me what DAW this was mixed and mastered in an...

Re: CPU Spikes with Audio Interface (Issues)
If I were you I would try to use another DAW just to isolate the cause You could try Reaper to see if you get spikes on the same system under load. If the problem also reproduces with that one it means it is down to some driver (likely your audio driver but not necessarily so). Let us know how you g...
