You should check out unlinked envelopes (unlinked volume envelopes specifically are useful for pickups, fade outs) and also mix this with removing stop buttons (Command or Apple - e) -- so clips don't stop.

Well you learn something new every day...just tested, and yes Cubase can record this data in ReWire, though Reason supposedly has no MIDI out -- can you get MIDI yoke to see the data coming out of Reason? I wonder why Prop. disable MIDI out as a standalone, but not in ReWire mode...

The problem you have is that Reason doesn't send MIDI out...

'Back to arrangement' will not grey out all the tracks, only the tracks on which you were altering over on the session view...It's a bit confusing of a concept, but once you understand the "Back to Arrangement" button, you'll get Live...

100% agree, could care less about these things when making music, just debunking the "this DAW sounds better than that one" myth.

What Adam is referring to is this: Turn warping off and Live has the same sound quality as logic/sonar/DP/Cubase/pro tools, etc.. Differences you are hearing are due to panning law and default DB settings on the master fader, as well as differences between floating point/ fixed point bitrate.

Smart Electronix have a free Audio-Midi trigger, other than that check drumagog, not sure about Audio melody-Midi notes.

Set warp mode to re-pitch, and assign a knob to the tempo is another option, you can set a range here too (bottom of the screen when in Midi-map mode) so it's just like pitch on a technics...

I think the firewire problem is apple related.
