Re: Live 12 won't launch

😢 This is most unfortunate. Live 12 has a feature I've wanted since building my system 10 years ago, my trusty Intel Core i7 2600k. Day in day out, the thing has been a work horse. Reaching out to Ableton support to log a request, I noted this in bold text before the support input; In order to run L...

Re: Specs for a new browser.

Out of curiousity, and since the current half-baked state of the Browser is utterly frustrating... With the amount of threads from back when the Browser/Library was switched, with the arrival of Live 9: https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=199787 https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php...

Nothing.
Quite amazingly nothing.
Breaks my heart. Completely breaks my heart.

I am using XYPlorer to tag my Ableton files as a workaround. So clunky, but what-cha-gonna-do?

Re: Browser: Tags (ala Kontakt database)

Wonder if such browser improvement will be found in Live 10. Can't wait to download and find out in a couple of months. There is nothing of interest in the L10 browser, just a very limited user "collections" thing which everyone will soon find very pointless. As it misses the point by a h...

Re: Simple enhancement for file browser

I'm very curious about the workflows that they're bringing to the Live 10 browser. Fingers crossed there's something in it for us. Having the ability of searching "Note Text" would be a start...

Re: Browser: Tags (ala Kontakt database)

Filtering attributes Any arbitrary textual tagging could take place in the "info text" meta, which ought to be able to be included / excluded from a search. Some great points, all of which I could work with. It's possible to hack the note data out of the Ableton file format, you can even ...

So long as there are export, import, relocation & repair tools, this is not of concern. In the meantime, I'm using XYplorer to manage & tag my files.

Re: Specs for a new browser.

Wow, even Steam now supports metadata for games!!! http://store.steampowered.com/tag Bitwig has it coming too; "Metadata-based browser - Find your musical material quickly. Add tags and search by content type." So ... in this day of age, why can't we have tags in Live? Or even at least the...
