Sorry to dig this up from the depths but just had a quick question for lovelight:

Presumably VST racks don't work with Audio Units? I have a load of plugins but as AU on Mac, and although I'm not entirely clear on the differences, I'm assuming the template won't be compatible?

Ok, without getting into massive workflow arguments (because I know that a laptop/iPad is the 'best' tool for this job, but not the most creative IMO) I'm looking for an old-skool hardware sampler. I kind of miss the old days of sitting with just a sampler and some sound sources and putting together...

I would guess that it's Gadget that is the main issue.

Coincidentally, I was reading some other forums last night and noticed a few mentions of Gadget having pretty bad timing when synced to other devices.

Obvious thing would be to try something else with Link and see if you get the same issue?

I used to love it the same way as a lava lamp when I was doing other things in the same room and it just sat there, Vegas-ing away at me.

My Push 2 has just arrived...and it's a beauty! But i have a question already:

On Push 1, when it was plugged in but disconnected from USB/Mac was powered down, it used to start a sort of coloured light show across the pads. Push 2 doesn't seem to...Is it meant to?

@gylen: just put the audiomux generator on an audio track, open the plugin and select your ipad and then the channel you'd like to hear...to get midi from ableton to your ipad you have to go to preferences within ableton and activate your ipad instrument under "midi".... best b Thanks sch...
