Re: Getting that Trance-Gate Effect

Even though I don't use it as much as I used to I have a Trance-Gate type setup as part of my Live Template set. Live's Gate with side chain works great!

Re: Ableton Live's Ping Pong Delay

thanks for the reminder, I really wish they didn't bury functions like that. 8) Agreed. The people at Ableton can be quite coy. Ping-pong delay has the same feature. I watched a tutorial a while back and learned something pretty neat. To get a longer delay buffer use Ping-pong Delay followed by a U...

Re: Show Preference Folder

I figured it out and I thought I would post it just in case anyone else is having the same problem in Windows 7 . The reason Appdata is so difficult to find is that it isn't really a folder. 1. Run %appdata% in the "Search Program and Files" from the start bar. 2. A folder called Roaming s...

Show Preference Folder

I have been trying to get into my preference folder to edit a User Remote Script in Live 8.2 in Windows 7 and I am having problems finding my preference folder. I used to go through the help menu. Help --> get suppont --> show preference folder, but that was with Live 8 and Windows XP. Anyone know w...

Re: Live 9.0

thats right , we need more features : bezier curves , lfo's , better midi capabilities , etc... no more instruments... I like what Tweaking Knobs is saying here. I like the Live Instruments and FX, but more meat and potatoes improvements might make Live itself a better instrument. I think more curv...

JL Cooper FaderMaster Pro question

I was looking to pickup a Korg NanoKontrol or something along those lines when a JL Cooper FaderMaster Pro popped up on an online auction. I picked it up and so far I'm really liking it. Does anyone by chance have a user-remote script for it lying around or do I have to program my own :)

Re: Dave Smith and Roger Linn's Tempest !

Looks amazing! The price looks a wee bit high, but I'm sure with the amount of expertise that has gone into it it's worth every penny. Time to start saving.

Re: recommend mic & preamp please

You know you'll be surprised at how good a nice preamp actually sounds. A Shure58 through a nice preamp can sound great. A Shure58 and a FMR Audio RNP might be an idea.

Halloween Soundtrack 2010

Every year I like to set up a computer by the door and scare trick-or-treaters with scary sounds. This year I decided to make an actual for download. Please have a listen and tell me if you like it. It's created in Live using recorded bongo drums and u-he ACE. http://virtualanalogdreams.bandcamp.com...

Re: Good Audio Interface for PC

M-Audio Delta 1010 is pretty sweet... I had the E-MU 0404 PCI and it was OK, but the drivers were no where near as stable as the M-Audio 1010's. Get one used and your laughing; cheap and stable is good.
