Re: headphones for studio (production and mixing)

I love my DDT770 pro 250 ohm Beyerdynamics. I use them live, but if the subs are crushing me I use my KRK8400s because of their crisp midrange

Re: subtle mac wheel of death since mac OS X Mavericks update

Ableton says you need the new 9.1 beta for Mavericks so I'm not surprised.

Re: accurate audio/video sync with 2 computers: what to use?

Network sync is the best. Send up network midi I/o in audio midi utility on your Mac. Then, in Live's midi preferences send and receive sync as necessary

I have written many tunes on the plane with phones and laptop using the keyboard for midi input. Love it!

Re: 64-bit vs 32-bit

It gives you access to more ram. Live loads the whole session into ram so this means your can have huge sessions limite by your computer and not the software. I jumped at 64bit and haven't looked back. I can't even load my new sets in 32 bit. I hope this helps hehe

Re: Are you getting PUSH?

Btw. Wtf are you guys arguing about? Is Maschine better than everything else I think. :) sorry that was slightly facetious of me Maschine is very good. I love the pads, but I only compose with it. I performed with it for 2 years but found it was too resource heavy to use the way I would have wanted.

Re: Are you getting PUSH?

For me personally, Push will be a device ( like the apc40 was when it came out) that I will have to own to see if it gets integrated into my composition or performance setup. If it does, great! That means it was money well spent. If it doesn't, fuck, I will sell it to recoup what I can. I'm not goin...

Re: Who has dared to follow their Ableton passion?

Quit your day job. At that point you will surprise yourself with your resourcefulness. That's what I did and happiness ensued. Keep bills low and create. I have a studio and a live sound business to augment my income but its all from music now for the past 6 years. I will never look back at that sca...

Re: Beta testers ! Is it stable ?

I think the new clip automation will serve live performers better than the old method. After all, it's called "Live." Arrange view is useless to me since I perform my arrangement live and use arrange to simply record my sets. Clip automation is awesome.
