I still don't see why they put in mp3 import. Aren't' you losing quality as it is decompressing your mp3 file?

you CAN import tracks in live 5

You can import in session but not arrangement from what I've seen.

Session is fine for some things but if you're using live to do detailed audio recording you end up living in the arrangement window and never touch the session window after a while.
