M4L help patches have no sound and crashes Max
Hi, I have noticed that when I right click on an object and bring up the help patch, sig~, cycle~ or live.gain for example, I click on the 'start' button etc to turn the audio status on but get no sound out. I'm sure I never had this problem with live 8 and max 5. Anyone have any ideas? I have also ...

Good documentaries on 'world' music
Hi all,
I would like to find some good documentaries, although I hate using the term 'world' music what I am looking for is Asian/eastern, African, Latin or anything non 'western'.
Cheers,
Stax.

Re: Your Packs
I'm a little confused, when I look at 'your packs' it shows session drums (description says it's 28GB, https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/session-drums/) but theres no download link. I own session drums for live 8 and the sounds show up in the live 8 library. Has anyone else had this problem? Cheers, ...

Re: Mapping Behringer BCR2000 buttons to stop/play in Live 8.2.6
Hi,
some of the controls in live only act on 127 messages and not 0 message from the BCR/BCF. Try editing the button output so you get 127 on press AND release. This has worked fine for me in the past, definately with mutes/solos anyway.

Re: Why don't session clips have a "device on/off" envelope??
You could group the device, then create a new chain in the rack with no device. Then use the chain selector as a dry/wet knob which can be mapped to a macro. You can automate the macro knob from the clip envolope to turn the device 'on and off'.
Hope this helps,

Guitar / Bass clicks and pops in live
Hi, I am trying to use live to record some guitar/bass parts, I have the guitars running straight into my soundcard (edirol ua-101). When I play without live (i.e. into soundcard and straight out of speakers) the sound is clean and has no clicks/pops. As soon as I route the audio through live I get ...

M4L, Macro knobs and CPU isssues.
Hi all, I have an issue with a device I have built for controlling a set of macro knobs on a rack using touchosc. It's a simple device xy pad for parameter control with z for device on/off and a slider for controlling the chain selector in the rack. The M4L patch uses the learn function (live.remote...

Re: Producing in double time - inspiring / liberating feeling??
I seen examples of people writing at 480bpm, so a bar at 120 becomes a beat at 480. Resolution is alot higher so you can get more detail with note position.

Re: how to ESKMO.
I saw him live at glade festival last weekend, he was 'recording' and looping alot of sounds live. He had loads of random percussion instruments that he played down a mic and had FX on, he also did some cool stuff like ripping or screwing up bits of paper and opening coke cans. Really impressive to ...

Re: Behringer BCF2000: faders to control multiple parts?
If you have max/m4l there is this osc wrapper, you can then make a device that does this. You need to set the cc's on the bcf as instructed in the wrapper patch, and set the bcf to track in and out in live's pref's and set the midi routing on the track your device is on. I have been working on a mix...
