It won't compete with the real world timbre of a nice string instrument, in fact the resonance nodes are quite pronounced in a way that a cheapo Chinese violin factory wouldn't allow. LOL. I'm not really expecting it to sound close, but I am interested in the technology that's trying to get us ther...

Can someone do v6 and v7 on the same hardware so we can see the difference? That would be most informative.

OK, good. Now care to say WHY you think it's "retarded"? Your first attempt didn't really refute the assertions. Does the earth cool and warm every day or not? The point is that everyone is bowing to the almighty "Global Warming" religion and attributing it to everything under th...

I play violin, so I'm interested in this discussion. Does the modeling take into account the resonance of the instrument's body as well? If it's just string modeling, I could easily see why coming close to a realistic sound for something like a violin would be hard. One thing that's cool about violi...

I see global warming and cooling every day. When the sun comes up, the earth gets warmer. When the sun goes down the earth gets cooler. I wonder if the suns output has any effect on the world's climate? 30 years ago we were being told of an impending ice age. The earth goes through cooling and warmi...

$500? Try $1540.
The front page says:

approx. 462.27 US$

but I haven't worked out the conversions.

thanks for the replies guys, I think what I'm really interested in is the difference between melodic intervals and the ones in harmony and how they gel together. Here's a question.... when doing inversions in chords is it important to keep the root in the bass like in Cmaj C in bass then G C E(in t...

Peak oil is real, oil companies are using it to price gouge, and the reason nothing else is being developed is simple. Things like bio diesel etc. once mass marketed would be hard to justify the sort of profit margins that the oil companies can get from a product me and you simply cannot get to. I ...

The oil companies may only make 10 cents a gallon, but they are the only business in the world that makes profits (over a trillion a year combined) when everone else has to cut back or take a cut when things get though. ...but how much of that profit is gross, and how much is net? Why should we fau...

In an attempt to educate...

...the oil companies only actually make around 10 cents a gallon.

If you really want lower gas prices ask your state to drop their taxes, or OPEC to drop their gas prices. A boycott won't hurt the oil company, and you shouldn't want to anyway.

Working in Live 5.0x?

Hello, I just tried this tip with Live 5.03 and I keep getting an error when loading the .als file I've tied the lessons file to. If I remove all text from the lessons file, then it comes up with the window, but instead of being blank it has a list of lessons available. I'd rather use this approach ...
