Any ideas how these rate in terms of reliability? Are they up there with Apogee and RME, or lower down?
UA has excellent support and really good interfaces, you should be fine.
Good to know - many thanks!

The interfaces we've heard the fewest complaints about are: - Anything made by Metric Halo - Anything made by RME - The Focusrite Saffire series - The Roland Quad capture and Octa capture - Dante DVS The interfaces we've heard the most complaints about are: - Anything made by Behringer - Anything m...

Re: Apollo Twin with Live 9 Suite

Can I just clarify how the UA plugins work?
Am I right in thinking that they appear as VST or AU plugins within Ableton?
And are also available within the UA “Console”..?
So does the UA Console run simultaneously with Live, and how do they relate?

Re: link to forums

Hi David - we removed the link to the forum as people weren't really using it. The majority of forum users get here either via Google search or via a bookmark link. No no no ... this forum is an important place, and I always come here via the homepage (try to keep my bookmarks tidy and minimal). Th...

Re: Big announcement tommorow from Ableton according to MTM

I saw this on the MTM Facebook feed earlier too ... but it seems to have been removed!

Either the announcement is put back, or Ableton didn't like the spoiler being there....

Re: Soundforge - finally on the Mac?

Well I'm on Windows.... but the videos, especially the third one, look very nice. The fonts and stylings etc are clearly SONY, but those UI elements have been made much nicer to look at. I wonder/presume that if this is a new version of SoundForge there will also be a new matching Windows version. A...

Re: Which Ableton plugins do you never use?

I use most of them actually.... There's some MIDI plugs I don't use, (although I love the Velocity and random note ones) but I like it that they are there for others. I've never once used the Looper or Vocoder, but that's really because they are not suitable/relevant to the sort of music I produce. ...

Re: Anyone using Adobe Audition?

It does the job, sure. If you want to fade between tracks etc you need to lay them out in the arrangement and set markers first ... otherwise you just use the CD compilation view and have a good range of settings you can control. Audition CS 5.5 does not have CD burning at all, but it has been reint...

Re: Anyone using Adobe Audition?

I use it... version 3.0. Main uses are: + for cleaning up field recordings (i.e. removal of unwanted noise) and live recordings (e.g. audience noise). + sample rate conversions, coding MP3 files... + destructive effects editing... I have used it as a multi-track, but I much prefer composing, recordi...
