I ´didnt experience such problem as yours, but it should be possible to drag the sounds of this song from the file browser(hopefully you have saved the song selfcontained and know in which folder you have the sounds)

Ok, here is my opinion,

Since the guitar is the most important element in your track, you should work on your playing to make the best performance possible.

In an instrumental the lead guitar should be very convincing and should transport emotions like a singer would.

So work on the sections that ...

I think you´ve got to stop audio playback, delete the midi plugin/instrument and after that delete the midi track.

I also had problems deleting a midi track with Arturia Moog Modular plugged in (crash).
