A good first step would be to get 32 bit Ableton Live running smoothly on Vista 64. At present, I can't turn on multiprocessor support under Vista 64 without degrading performance of Live by half -- double the CPU's, halve the performance. Anyone else having problems with multiprocessor support?
I have tried Live on 2 different computers running Vista 64. On both computers, I can run at a lower sample rate if I turn multiprocessor support off . I'm wondering if this is a Vista 64 problem only or does it occur with other OS versions?
