I am not really sure... I haven't experienced any drift. I can point you to the time format page that says that 128n = 15 ticks... I guess the real question is if the quantize is a true quantize that will act differently then the interval attribute. That is a question for the people at Cycling... I...

I am using an interval of 10 ticks. This means that the transport is getting bangs every 10 ticks which is faster than the 128th note, which is 15 ticks. I am note sure if quantize provides any additional benefit.

Yes... It works similarly to the APC40... You can use it with M4L, but it is not required.
