Re: recroding from Scratch Live into Ableton
Can't remember where I got this from, but it should help you guys. 1st the hardware routing. it doesn't matter what soundcard you use... 1. 1 set of cables in your sound card out routed to the flex fx in. 2. 1 set of cables in your sound card in routed to the flex fx out. 3. your speakers HAVE TO BE...

Assigning multiple CCs to the same path?
Mac OSX 10.5.6
Live 7.0.14
I'm trying to assign multiple CCs to the same path...when I try assigning a second, it simply overwrites. Is there a setting I can flip to allow more than one? My friend swears he can do this on his windows version. Is it possible?

I'm not talking about LAPTOPS at all. A Powermac G5 is NOT a LAPTOP. It's a desktop machine. There's not even a laptop made that can hold 8GB of RAM. It's a powerMAC, not a powerBOOK. And, not to like completely pwn you, but the maximum the best macbook PRO will hold today is 4GB. eh? when have I ev...

Mixmeister makes a beatiful program, great for quick studio mixes. I did six mixes with it this summer over the course of a couple months. I must say I prefer LIVE for performance and nimble remixing and also love using a MAC, so...that happens to be my set up now. Check 'em out: http://dubalicious....

That would explain some of my trigger and effect delays...probably RAM related. Another note: Let's please keep this thread hardware vs software performance related folks. I'm sure you all have beautiful ways of optimizing your sets, but let's stay on topic. ^good point. one bottleneck is that Live ...

(I too, wish this was more, and wouldn't mind a multitouch pad and an update to the casing as well...damn it Cupertino...anyways, diff rant ;) I had not considered the ...

Where are the speed bottlenecks in Ableton? Perf Question:::
I have a summer 2004 dual G5 powermac and it's capable of holding 8GB of ram. Currently, I have 2GB. Obviously the only performance monitor in ableton is really the "processor"...I understand that RAM is actually what throws the data at the processor....so...is it true that more RAM is unn...

DnB drum writing techniques
Hey all..so I've just started using SAMPLER and have never really used a multisampler for drum loops. I understand you can do some really dope stuff with it. Please give me some short tutorials on some techniques if you don't mind sharing. Also, what do you use to make your drum break edits with? Is...
