Re: Save unique Preferences file with each Live Set: Possible?
Thank you, Jörg. Please consider this possibility for future versions of Live.

Save unique Preferences file with each Live Set: Possible?
Is there a way to save a unique Preferences file with a Live Set? I run a Live configuration in which I run two instantiations of Live concurrently. I have each instance using a different audio interface on my computer. It would be great if the Prefs could be saved with each Live Set, since the way ...

Re: Set Tempo Limits +- 10% of currently-set value: Possible?
Thanks, agent314. Yes, I'm aware of the coarse and fine tempo control on either side of the decimal point. The "fine" part of the control only gives me +- about 3 bpm range of adjustment, which is not really enough. This might be one for the suggestion box at Ableton - have a MIDI-mappable...

Re: does anyone actually perform LIVE using Live?
I'm using a large Live Set for a duo gig - 450+ Scenes. I'm playing bass guitar & doing some vocals, and I have a 61-key MIDI keyboard, as well as a Behringer FCB-1010 Foot Controller, to trigger Scenes. I use the FCB-1010 primarily for hands-free control of changing and launching Scenes (with o...

Tap Tempo: Wait 4 beats to set new tempo?
I've noticed that if I have a drum beat going, and I want to adjust the tempo by tapping, the beat sometimes goes crazy if I hit the tempo tap button once or twice. Is there a way to make the Live wait until I tap in four beats, picking up the new tempo from that? It seems unreasonable for Live to r...

Set Tempo Limits +- 10% of currently-set value: Possible?
My question concerns mapping the tempo limits to a knob on a MIDI controller. Right now I have a knob on my controller (not an endless encoder, but a regular CC with a minimum/maximum setting) set as a tempo controller, with a minimum setting of 60 bpm and maxumum of 240 bpm. This covers the range o...

Re: Punch Out of record in Arrangement View causes audio glitch
UK Russ, thanks for the tip. As it turns out, the glitch I'm experiencing seemingly doesn't have anything to do with my audio buffer settings - it does the same thing whether I have the buffer set to 64 samples, 256 samples, or 512. What it does seem to be affected by is the other tracks in the Live...

Punch Out of record in Arrangement View causes audio glitch
I wonder if this is a peculiarity of my system or whether this is a known problem on many Ableton Live setups. First, a bit of info about my system - I'm running Ableton Live 8 Suite (Live 8.1.1) on a notebook computer (Intel Core-2 Q9000 Quad-Core CPU, and an M-Audio ProFire 2626 firewire interface...

to the right wing troll: 1) Philosophy is not science. 2) NPR gets 70% of it's information from government sources, that includes the pentagon. The rest of the time they are talking about car repairs, how fleas on rats caused the reformation, or what colors bees like best. If they are indeed a prop...

Re: Barack Obama Honeymoon period: How long before you start?
.... Countries rattling their cages at the US is such total garbage it's not even funny. Look at casualty numbers in any recent war and realize that at this point trying to mount anything real against us is impossible. Think about how ridiculous all this must seem to other countries. How hypocritic...

Re: Barack Obama Honeymoon period: How long before you start?
Out of curiosity, are you a proponent of intelligent design? Do you think it should be taught in science class? No, I am not a proponent of 'intelligent design'. I know that intelligent design is not considered 'science' by many, although since intelligent design can be included in the field of the...

Re: Barack Obama Honeymoon period: How long before you start?
Again, you haven't answered why you think environmental laws are bad? and spent a good amount of time trying to debunk global warming? You seriously cannot believe that global warming issues are the cause of the recession? Had nothing to do with corporate greed right? You know the same greed that f...

Re: Barack Obama Honeymoon period: How long before you start?
And this right here is why you, and people like you are just a total waste of time on the interwebs. You have yet to answer why you think driving a cleaner car or controlling pollution is not worth the time or effort, yet you use your google searched 'answers' as proof of your point. You whine that...
