Re: Stupid question - searching samples
Of course if you drag the whole Live 8 Library into Places, which is not possible directly, but is if you drag in the folder which contains it, things will show up in All Results. This simply duplicates / copies your library to the new location. in effect cutting your storage space in half. This is...

Re: Stupid question - searching samples
So why can't live 9 include results from the live 8 folder structure in the @all result'' filed? This seems a bit stupid and troublesome. I don't want to move my sample folders out of the live 8 structure as I still need to use 8 for many things.

Re: what was added and what was left out..
I would still like a scrub tool on the transport. Something I could map to a continues controller pot such as the cue level on the APC-40. Would be especially useful when I'm working with video for post production jobs. dont they have that? never mind, i was confusing a scrub tool with the jump to ...

Re: how to produce a vocal sample that will trigger off beat?
You can add silence to it through consolidation. This only works if you not going to change the temp if you are then you are better off creating a silent clip with play next as the follow action and have it set to play for half a beat before it triggers the vocal sample.

Phoscyon is the best 303 emulation I've ever come across. But use another distortion and not its on board one.

Re: anyone composing without a piano background?
I do think that instruments and technology lead creativity. I will write something completely different on guitar than I would piano and something drastically different using sequencers and drum machines. This goes beyond simply having an understanding of music theory and moves more in to the relati...

What shadk312 suggests should do what you want at the point of edit rather than being a clean up process afterwards so long as you only have the audio you want to edit at that point in the arrangement

If there is I haven't found it. This feature proves very useful in Sadie systems.

Re: Plz suggest the best instrument to extract a chunk of earwax
Don't stick things in your ear. Make an appointment with your Doctor to have them syringed http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Ear-Wax.htm and in the mean time you could use this type of thing http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/100002626.html but a little warm olive oil does much the same thing at a f...

Re: Help! Mono Track
You will want your bass in mono it only has one output after all. the rectify your current situation use the utility plug and rather than have it in stereo set it to ither left or eight which ever channel has the recorded audio in it. It will then only give you that sides audio data but panned to ce...

Re: Level down all tracks despite tracks volume automation...??
@psyfi; yeah I do that all the time. But often the automation is on longer event. @Chapelier Fou; Major problem in MY workflow or in Ableton general workflow? In each song I make, there is always volume automation. I'll use the utility plug as a workaround in the future. Consolidate you clips to th...
