This is the inevitably endless argument that I hear waaaaay to much. DJ's are DJ's. Musician's are musician's. Why try to compare the two? It's apple's to PC's, you know? They both serve their own respective functions.

FWIW...resizing the velocity window worked wonders, but the ctrl-clicking in Live 5 (not available in 4) did not give me an option on the menu to "edit velocity value" or anything of that nature. And nothing happened at all when I selected the "show all" option in the ctrl-click...

The normal way would be to drag the velocity bars up and down to get the desired velocity amount. But it seems that doing this with your mouse doesn't get very accurate results.
