It's interesting that I come on here today and see this topic, as it's been one I've considered starting up for some time now (I'm lazy, I know). Please Abe's, DO NOT UPDATE THE UI!! I absolutely love the look, its simplicity, its "form follows function" philosophy. There is no point in go...

This is the inevitably endless argument that I hear waaaaay to much. DJ's are DJ's. Musician's are musician's. Why try to compare the two? It's apple's to PC's, you know? They both serve their own respective functions.

My 9 year old niece plays the recorder. Does that mean she is a musician too? yes it does, unless you're a snob ? When my dog farts, it sounds like the first few notes to the James Bond Theme. Does that make my dog a musician too? I'd say it does! Shit, somebody call Guiness! Thread-jackers anyhow!...

Cheers,

I did RTFM, so many times that my brain has glazed over. Thanks for helping a brother out.

FWIW...resizing the velocity window worked wonders, but the ctrl-clicking in Live 5 (not available in 4) did not give me an option on the menu to "edit velocity value" or anything of that nature. And nothing happened at all when I selected the "show all" option in the ctrl-click...

Why would 88 or 86 instead of 87 be needed? Well, for instance, when I want to set every instance of a snare hit to the same velocity in the same clip. FWIW...resizing the velocity window worked wonders, but the ctrl-clicking in Live 5 (not available in 4) did not give me an option on the menu to &...

Fine-tuning velocity on MIDI notes in clip view

The normal way would be to drag the velocity bars up and down to get the desired velocity amount. But it seems that doing this with your mouse doesn't get very accurate results. For instance, when attempting to dial in the velocity of each instance of the snare to, say, 87 I can only get some of the...

Wow! I'm really impressed with this track. A little mastering and it's ready for the prime time IMHO. I really enjoyed the vocals, bassline, drum patterns etc. Well, shit, the entire thing really! Keep up the good work! If it were for sale on Beatport, I'd buy it!

Damn dude, great stuff! I'm almost all the way through Pt. 1 and I'm diggin it! I'm listening to it on some really shitty speakers I have at work in my cube, so I can't really hear the bass frequencies all that well, but I really dig it so far. Love the geetar work in there too!

I rather enjoyed the track Toneburst! I wish I could give you better feedback, but I'm at work and I'm hearing the track on some really shitty speakers, so it wouldn't do me any good to try and critique it.

I agree that there's no point in whining about it. But, I also think it'd be cool of the Abe's to offer a 30 day price match guarantee sort of thing. You know, if the product you purchased goes on sale within 30 days of your purchase date, they'll refund the differnce (or offer store credit). Just m...

I'm with ya brother! It's like that in our town too (Salt Lake City). The locals don't get near the respect they deserve, and get next to none when a "star" is in town. Not that I don't have respect for said "stars", but I think the locals deserve more support than they get! It's...
