I have exactly the same problem. I believe one of the reasons this occurs is that when you freeze a track, the wav created is of 32-bit quality (can someone confrim?). As soon as I play about 20 frozen tracks simulataneously with a couple of VSTs as send effects (which cannot be frozen) it turns int...

Live has slowed down into a horrible stuttering mess!
Hello, I'm working on a song at the moment which has around 20 tracks, all of 8 bar length. They are pretty much all midi with different VST effects on them. They are all frozen, so essentially Live is just playing back 20 audio files at the same time (and I believe it is therefore irrelevent what p...

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes I am using Live 6 and an M-Audio Audiophile sound card. I have played around with the buffer size, but it doesn't seem to make too much difference to be honest (what would you recommend?) Also, when I load the song up for the first time and play everything together,...

Concerns about CPU load - What do you think?
Hi, I would really appreciate any input please. In the song I am working on at the moment I have a combination of tracks, probably 30 in total. - Some tracks contain VST synths with midi data. These have various VST effects (some stock, some not) applied. These tracks are then frozen - Some tracks c...

How to make the in build effects sound good - Tips/Settings
From a live point of view I am in the process of setting up various VSTs and dummy clips and routining audio tracks through them. Though I have had 'good sounding' success with VSTs such as Glitch, Beat Reapeat, Delays and Reverb, I am struggling to make the following sound interesting, but not over...

Do you know what? I wouldn't have even bothered asking that question if I'd actually seen the clip in the file! (can't see the wood for the trees and all that!) I know you mentioned it, but because it isn't labelled I just missed it! I've done something very similar using Glitch, but am still in the...

Hi, This look pretty interesting. I've taken out the impulse from the rack and made a new rack containing everything else, but in an audio track. I see different zones have been set up for each effect with in a particualr part of a rack. Had you envisaged being able to jump between these different z...

Well after experimenting, it looks like you can't achieve what I wanted to do, purely because of the way that the plug in works. I assigned the power on/off of Glitch to macro 1 in an effects rack. I then created a dummy clip that changed the value of macro 1 from 0 to 127. This essentially turns th...

OK. To throw something into the equation. I'm using Glitch in a Dummy Clip. Is there the ability to turn the actual VST on in the dummy clip or just adjust the parameters? Thanks very much hoffman I will look into it use Glitch on my master track in my dj template. one button is assigned to on/off....
