Where did I say to drop it on the Simpler Window?
Read the post again, Drop it on the view that all the devices are shown...Even if its empty, by default it will create a simpler for you.

Re: Dropping audio to midi track > default simpler
you have to drop the sample on the "Track View" or I think in Live 9 the name was changed to "Device view". Then it will create a simpler or whatever you have in your defaults folder for "Dropping Samples on Device View" . Ableton came up with the great idea that people...

never had this happen. though, rarely use analog. Is it just w analog or other synths? Have you checked your midi clip if there is any weird midi envelopes in there?

Re: L9-Deleting(tracks, scenes) & closing sets takes a LONG time
I totally agree that a new version isn't a valid excuse, but hey, thats the way it seems to go w devs these days. What I'm seeing is way too much though. Im still mostly using 8 for many reasons- this being one of them. Just felt I'm gonna start complaining about all the things that have changed for...

Re: L9-Deleting(tracks, scenes) & closing sets takes a LONG time
ok, i sort of understand that a new version would take a little more time. Even though it should really be minimized or not happen at all. but a 1/3 longer? seems a bit excessive.
As for bitwig, I guess we will have to wait for a version 2 and see.

L9-Deleting(tracks, scenes) & closing sets takes a LONG time
Anyone else notice that Live 9 takes a lot longer to delete tracks, delete scenes as well as close sets. Im on 9.05 and 9.1b3. both 64 bit no max for live stuff. Did a quick, non scientific test with one .als and here's what I got- ( same pref settings w each version ) also, im on an ssd Live 8.4 to...

Re: Dissapointed by Sampler
Sampler is great if you look at it as more of a synth in which you can throw whatever samples/waveforms/recordings you want in there to use as your source sound. I love it because it is so fast and intuitive yet pretty damn flexible/powerful. yes, i know that but... " Sampler is a sampling ins...

Re: Dissapointed by Sampler
Sampler is the best. I use it all over my tracks. That sucks that your havin trouble w the conversions. Something I dont do too often. You will def be disappointed if you try to use it as a multisampler, ( though it works ok at that too ) thats not really where it's strength lies. Sampler is great i...

Re: Midi Editor "smart" snap-give us an option to turn it off!
I feel that people who USE Live's midi editing a lot, like those posting their frustration in this thread, are those who would have the most accurate and qualified feedback of what does and does not work for it. Clearly it is a problem. I also understand that a Ableton consider it to be a new 'feat...

Re: Midi Editor "smart" snap-give us an option to turn it off!
I'm with you. Ableton Live has so many places where you could improve the UX - but for some strange reason they decided it is much more important to break a completely fine feature. I'm really hoping Bitwig will be a success. Not so much because I want to buy it - but I really hope Ableton get a lo...

Smart snap is very bothersome. The old snap was reliable. Agreed 9.2 should shut the forum off. :D :D :D guys, please add your voice to this thread about 'smart snap' or to another one about this subject. I couldnt find one directly about the smart snap that is why i started one...I know the abes a...
